makes love like an eagle falling out of the sky.

Today at work was the slowest, most horrible day in the history of time and space. It was so mind-numbingly boring that I got to spend most of the afternoon acting like the high school guidance counselor to everyone in the building regarding work, relationships and their futures after college. I should've charged everybody a quarter a session but I didn't. Learned my lesson.

I did have time to get in touch with Laura again though, which was nice. I've been a shit person and haven't kept in touch with her like at all in the past few months. Now she's pregnant and she seems kind of vulnerable right now, and I'd feel totally horrible if I didn't at least try to talk to her again. There's really no reason that we never got to hang out like we wanted to, other than her boyfriend, and I loved seeing her when we worked and went to school together. It seems like a good time to catch up.

Anyway. I went to the Lone Star Park fireworks display in Grand Prairie last night. I've seen my share of explosions this year. I'm just going to spend the rest of the day in my jim-jams watching Star Trek movies. Oh yeah. The Undiscovered Country for the win, people. Vintage Kirk/McCoy!
